Coughs and sneezes spread diseases.
Yep, we know that’s true.
It’s why I’m staying over here,
So I can’t cough on you.

Fast as we spread Covid19,
Something’s spreading faster;
Something just as dangerous, as
Sure to cause disaster.

It’s spread on social media.
It’s rumour, fear and dread.
It’s not come from the scientists
But somewhere dark instead.

We all are silent spreaders if
We click without due thought.
We are acting on emotions and
Not thinking as we ought.

Just like we’re social distancing and
Not all going out.
Let’s think before we share a link.
Use reasonable doubt.

The same is true when buying food:
Just buy the things you need.
There’s enough for all of us
But not for fear and greed.

I’ve no right to preach to you.
I know. It’s true to say.
I’m not immune. I feel fear too.

Let’s hold that fear at bay.
