Whiskers are wonderful features
On cats;
Terrifically useful on mice
And rats;
Considered quite cute
Among the hirsute,
Twitchily framing their noses like that!

Whiskers are widely admired on
Old geezers
Like Santa – fond givers of tickles
And sneezes,
But quite out of place
On this lady’s face;
And that’s why I’m here by the mirror
With tweezers!
