The arc of the moral universe bends both long and slow;
It’s bending towards justice. A wise King told us so.
Please don’t think it’s easy or it happens on its own
It’s people’s struggles bending it, working to the bone.
It takes the weight of all of us, doing what we can
We all must work for justice, each woman, child & man,
Else folks with power and money, to give them extra weight,
Lift but their little finger, and damned-near make it straight.
Don’t listen to their whispers, that tempt you to stop trying.
If we don’t fight for justice, our kids will do the dying.
