The Great Flood

Well, yet again, it rains and rains
The water spreads across the plains

This calls to mind a time gone by
When river waters ran so high
That Noah took a tip from God
And built a boat. The lucky sod!
Cos when the other folks all died
He floated calmly on the tide.

Well, yet again, it rains and rains.
The water spreads across the plains.
So, I too listened to the Lord.

I bought myself a paddle board.

It’s not a boat. That much is true.
Not much cop as a floating zoo.
But should the floods extend this far
It might float better than the car.
